Kids Sewing Workshop: Quilted BagMarch 17 | 10:00am–12:00pm Ages 8–12 $50
Unleash your creativity in this fun, hands-on workshop for young makers! Participants will learn basic sewing skills while designing and creating their very own quilted bag to take home. Kids will choose fabrics, cut their pattern, stitch their bag, and add adorable finishing details.
Perfect for beginners all tools and materials are provided.
About the Instructor
Louise Ferguson is the Executive Director of the Fernie & District Arts Council. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Arts University Bournemouth (England), specializing in Costume. Louise has worked in costume departments within the London theatre community and for the National Ballet, and has experience in fashion history curation. After moving from England, she worked at Walt Disney World in Florida in the largest costume department in the world, and later as a seamstress in Fernie.
Accessibility Note This workshop will take place in our upstairs studios, which are accessed by steep stairs.
