Step into the world of human-centred innovation in Inclusive Design Lab!
In this hands-on March holiday camp, children learn to design assistive solutions for persons with disabilities using real design thinking processes and 3D printing.
Through guided empathy work, ideation, and prototyping, participants discover how thoughtful design can make everyday living more inclusive and impactful.

What Your Child Will Experience
🧠 Empathy in Action
Children explore real-world challenges faced by persons with disabilities and learn to understand users’ needs through guided activities.
💡 Design Thinking Process
Participants generate ideas, evaluate solutions, and develop user-centred concepts through structured ideation.
🖨️ 3D Modelling & Printing
Kids translate their ideas into physical prototypes using basic 3D modelling and printing tools.
🔧 Prototype, Test & Improve
Through feedback and iteration, children refine their assistive innovations to make them more functional and user-friendly.
🎤 Showcase & Reflection
Participants present their final solutions to a panel of experts from Salvage Gardenand reflect on how empathy-driven design can create real-world impact.

Inclusive Design Lab gives your child the opportunity to think beyond themselves and design with purpose. By combining empathy, creativity, and technology, participants learn how innovation can improve lives and create a more inclusive world.
After the camp, participants who wish to refine their projects may apply to be Salvage Garden volunteers, and work with other co-creators at the Regional Libraries.
