Kickernick Gallery invites you to the Summer Art Show: an evening celebrating the creativity, culture, and artistic energy shaping downtown Minneapolis.
On Thursday, June 25, the Kickernick Building opens its doors for a free community art experience featuring work from six Minneapolis artists:

Throughout the evening, guests are invited to explore the gallery exhibition, meet artists and creatives inside the building, and experience the creative spirit of one of Minneapolis’s most iconic historic spaces.
The night will also feature:
• Open artist studios
• Live music
• A fashion market featuring local designers and boutiques
• Pop-up experiences throughout the building
• A “More Is More” fashion contest celebrating bold color and maximalist style
This event is designed to bring together art lovers, creatives, fashion enthusiasts, and the broader Minneapolis community for a night centered around connection, inspiration, and discovery.

Celebrity fashion judges include Marie Corcoran, Jamie Valentino and Leslie Firkins.
Marie Corcoran currently leads Global Brand Strategy and Communications for 3M’s Scotch-Brite Brand. Prior to 3M, Marie worked at Estee Lauder Companies in global marketing and at ad agencies in NYC for nearly 20 years, where she led global advertising campaigns for Maybelline New York, Essie, Goody and L’Oreal, shooting with supermodels all over the world. Marie is passionate about empowering other women and led the 3M Consumer Business Group’s global mentorship program with over 500 participants and serves on the Board for NextUp Twin Cities, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing women in business. Marie was crowned Mrs. Minnesota International 2024, America’s Most Beautiful Mrs. Minnesota 2025 and is making vie for Mrs. Minnesota America on June 14 th , 2026 to further promote her platform,“Mentorship Matters”.
Jamie Valentino is a global business development executive at Sigma Beauty and a lifestyle and culture columnist published in The New York Times, Vice, WIRED, Business Insider, and 100+ more outlets.For 18 years, Sigma Beauty has set the standard in premium, pro-level makeup brushes, brush care, and luxury cosmetics. The brand is headquartered in Minnesota and has a retail presence spanning 68 countries, with offerings supported by 70+ patents and a network of hundreds of beauty influencers and professionals, as well as a social reach of 5 million.
Leslie Firkins was raised in the world of fashion. The daughter of a shop owner and granddaughter of talented seamstresses, she began creating outfits long before it became her profession. Her career has taken her from the iconic Oval Room at Dayton's to styling for Anthropologie, while also spanning photography, buying, merchandising, sales, and wardrobe strategy. With more than three decades of experience, Leslie has developed a distinctive eye for balancing trend and timelessness.
Known for her passion for people as much as fashion, Leslie believes style is ultimately about self-expression and confidence. She is also a dedicated advocate for the Twin Cities' creative community, championing independent boutiques, local makers, and immigrant-owned businesses that help shape the region's unique cultural identity.
Through her work, Leslie continues to celebrate the people, places, and stories that make the Twin Cities extraordinary.
