Weave your own kete - bag, basket, using traditional Māori Weaving Techniques. Learn ngā tikanga o te harakeke - how I harvest and prepare the harakeke and whenu - weaving strips. I prepare the harakeke for you. You spend a relaxing day weaving and take home your very own Kete. Kete are suitable projects for beginners because I will guide you from start to finish. You will enjoy creating in a fun and supportive environment. Bring your own lunch, or KareNZ Kitz is near the supermarket, cafes and takeaways. KareNZ Kitz is a large studio workshop and Art Gallery in Waitara, by the river with views of park, garden and Art - Carvings.Only 5 people per workshop.
