About this Event
The workshop: Activities and dicussions led by a cybersecurity proffesional from The Cyber Cave, teaching parents how to let children explore the technology and the internet safely and confidently.
Join The Cyber Cave for an intimate discussion designed for parents about keeping our little ones safe in today’s digital world.
We’ll talk through:
- Everyday online safety for kiddos ages 2–6
- Early signs of online harassment or unsafe interactions
- How to prevent “stranger danger” and protect personal information
- Ways to encourage kindness and healthy screen habits from the start
All attendees will receive cyber safety tips and a take-home digital guidebook right to their inbox after the workshop.
The art class: Kids will take part in two tech themed crafts, with the opportunity to craft freely or play with toys and jigsaw puzzles.
Steam Engines Learning Co sneaks S.T.E.A.M. into craft activities, by using patterns, symmetry, unique crafting tools, and including a variety of textures in projects. These themes are shown by research to support children's ability to more deeply undertand math and science concepts.
The pizza party: Pizza will be available as soon as families arrive for class. Healthy snacks will also be offered alongside pizza, and you're welcome to bring your own nut-free options for yourself and your little ones.
The workshop is expected to wrap up by 7:30, and the last half hour will be reserved for free-play among families
