About this Event
Join Food Tank, Compass Group, and Envision Charlotte on April 29, 2026 at Innovation Barn in Charlotte, North Carolina for a special gathering celebrating the 10th Annual Stop Food Waste Day.
This afternoon event will celebrate the people, ideas, and innovations helping reduce food waste and build a more thoughtful and sustainable food system. Bringing together leaders from across food, agriculture, hospitality, business, nonprofits, and local communities, the program will highlight real solutions that keep good food in our kitchens and communities instead of landfills.
Through conversations, storytelling, and local voices, the event will explore how farmers, chefs, schools, businesses, and cities are working to rethink how food is grown, prepared, distributed, and recovered. The program will also feature youth storytellers and producers sharing how the next generation is helping lead the movement to reduce food waste.
The afternoon will conclude with a reception and interactive experiences throughout Innovation Barn, offering guests the chance to connect, celebrate progress, and continue building momentum around solutions that make better use of the food we grow.
