Jewelry from Found ObjectsSaturday, February 21, 11 AM – 3 PM
In the Scout House – Instructor Monica Moreno
$60 for CCRMC members | $70 for non-members
Discover how unexpected materials can become powerful, wearable works of art. In this engaging, hands-on workshop, participants are invited to transform found and unconventional objects into one-of-a-kind pieces that tell a story—your story.
You’ll learn accessible techniques such as cutting, drilling, simple wire wrapping, soft soldering, and using appropriate adhesives. These skills are taught in an approachable way, making them easy to apply regardless of prior experience.
A curated selection of found materials and objects will be provided to spark ideas and experimentation. Participants are also warmly encouraged to bring their own small objects—items with personal history, texture, or meaning—that they’d like to transform into wearable pieces.
This workshop is about exploration, curiosity, and creative confidence. You’ll be encouraged to play, experiment, and follow your intuition while working with materials that carry story and possibility. You’ll leave with one or more finished pieces, practical skills you can continue to use, and a renewed sense of creative possibility.
No prior jewelry or metals experience is necessary. All levels are welcome—just bring your curiosity and an open mind.
Safety Notes: Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Long hair should be tied back away from your face. Refrain from wearing long dangling jewelry and loose long sleeves.
