About this Event
Queer Guided Birdwatching & Friend-making Outdoor Gathering in Los Angeles
Join us for a queer-led afternoon birdwatching event created to make the outdoors feel joyful, inclusive, and accessible to everyone. Birdwatching is usually an early-morning world, but not here — we scheduled this intentionally in the afternoon so you can sleep in, take your time, and still enjoy the magic of spotting our feathered neighbors. In other words: you don’t have to be the early bird to get the worm.
Whether you’re brand-new to birding or already know your phoebes from your finches, this gentle, community-centered walk welcomes all levels. Come with your kids, bring a friend, make it a cute date, or show up solo and meet new people who appreciate nature, queer community, and low-pressure outdoor fun.
We’ll stroll at an easy pace, look and listen for local birds, share fun facts, and create space for anyone who’s ever felt like birdwatching wasn’t “for them.” Expect laughter, accessible teaching, and a warm, come-as-you-are vibe. Whether you leave with new bird knowledge, new friends, or simply a calmer mind, we’d love to have you with us.
