Join us at St Marylebone Parish Church as the Academy’s organ department welcomes renowned organist-composer Jean-Baptiste Robin and musicologist Aurélie Decourt (Jehan Alain’s niece) on Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th November at 2 PM. They’ll share fascinating insights into the newly edited works of Jehan Alain, a composer whose legacy continues to inspire. Don’t miss Jean-Baptiste Robin’s recital on the new Harrison & Harrison organ at The Guards’ Chapel on Thursday, 21st November. The program includes WIDOR: Allegro from Symphony 6, Op. 42, DEBUSSY: Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun (transcription by Jean-Baptiste Robin), RAVEL: Toccata (transcription by Jean-Baptiste Robin), ROBIN: Chant du Ténéré, and ALAIN: Trois Danses (Joies, Deuils, Luttes).
