Melissa Boyce was raised in a musical household. She began playing the trumpet while growing up in Nanaimo, B.C. and later developed her talent as a vocalist once she moved to Toronto. With a jazz pianist father, Melissa developed a keen appreciation for a wide variety of music, but she has always come home to Jazz.
She has enjoyed playing at some of the most notable clubs in and around Toronto as well as
participating in many major Jazz Festivals. Melissa also enjoyed a successful foray into the Chicago Jazz scene, being featured with the Jimmy Ellis Quartet at Andy’s Jazz Bar.
While her live shows are primarily loyal to the jazz genre, she has also become known for
surprising her audiences with inspired interpretations of current R&B, soul and pop music. Melissa’s voice gives an affectionate, textural and adventurous interpretation to the best-recognized and most beloved jazz standards in the world.
Kevin Barrett has worked as a freelance guitarist, producer, musical director and composer for more than 30 years. His home base is the Kensington Market neighbourhood of Toronto, Canada. Kevin is known as a passionate soloist, a first-rate accompanist, and a versatile and creative side musician. All these qualities come together in his work as a solo performer. By using looping technology and electronics to support and augment his deft nylon-string guitar technique, Kevin gives new life to a diverse repertoire of melodies and rhythm.

No need to bring a physical copy of the ticket for entry. Please bring your eventbrite ticket on your phone or provide the name the tickets were purchased under for check-in.
General Admisson seating is on a first come basis.
Presale tickets are available until 2PM the day of the show. Unsold tickets will be able to purchased at the door while supplies last.
