A musical epiphany, not at the proverbial crossroads at midnight, but in an Astoria, Queens schoolyard was where the music of Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones inspired Jamie Thomas to play music and write songs. Honing his skills as a performer in New York clubs with his band 3rd Man Out before striking out on his own, Thomas made his bones as a solo act in the ground zero of the American folk movement, Greenwich Village's fabled Bitter End. He continues to perform his own steeped-in-the-tradition originals together with reinterpretations of selections from the great real American music songbook spanning from its origins to today.
