I am excited to announce the release of my 25 album on January 11th, 2025. 50 AF: The Best Of Jeremy Gloff Vol. 2 will celebrate the last ten years of my creative life - from age 40 to age 50. I crept out of my 30s feeling tired and uninspired but who knew that a whole decade of music and adventure awaited!
My 40s began with the epic ‘Those Who Survived’ which was guided by the spirit of my friend Will Fridlin who died on the streets of San Francisco. Will’s life story kick started my creative life and led me into a career in non-profit and advocacy.
The adventure continued with ‘Lightrail' - the fun surprise summertime/pop album who let everyone know that Jeremy Gloff is nasty! The reflective ‘The Box’ from 2019 was written on the electric guitars I inherited when my dad passed away, transported on a road trip from New York to Florida.
2021’s socially conscious ‘Burn It Up! Turn It Up!’ was created during Covid with over 30 collaborators connecting and conspiring via the internet. The 5th and final album of my 40s, “Road To Bartow” was journey through rural Florida, reconnecting with small town roots and the wild-hearted DIY punk aesthetic through the lens of being a 48 year old troubadour. Did we find the house with the lights still on?
’50 AF’ collects together 14 of the most well-known songs from these 5 albums as well as six newly recorded tracks to round out the collection. The new songs include “All I’ve Found” (featuring a three part harmony with Matt Burke and Rebekkah Pulley) and “That Was Us” - a songwriting collaboration with Portland-based musician John Wandell.
’50 AF’ will be released at a party on 1/11/25 at Hooch and Hive, Tampa which will also celebrate my 50th birthday. The show will feature 14 different musicians covering the “hits” from the album and myself performing the six new songs. A limited edition CD pressing of “50 AF” will be given away to people attending the birthday party, as well as sold online. I am appreciative that the muses gifted me with the last 10 years of creation! More details soon!!!
