Jack Waugh's Americanaland
DC-Native Guitarist and Towson University Professor Jack Waugh presents Americanaland, his jazz-Americana-Fusion quartet. Americanaland has recently been featured in Washingtonian Magazine, WPFW 89.3, and gained an impressive following of over 30,000 followers and fans via social media. The group's distinct sound encompasses Jazz, Rock, Americana, bluegrass, blues, pop, and more, fusing together catchy melodies with the deep spiritual experience jazz listeners seek. Leading up to their EP Americanaland, Waugh's group has performed at venues including Nublu, The 8x10, Pie Shop, and Rhizome. Drawing influences from progressive bands like Floral and Standards, Right Chipper fuses complex time signature exploration with catchy, pop-punk melodic sensibilities. The duo consisting of Knox Engler on guitar and Lucas Kirby on Drums formed in the Spring of 2023 and has been relentlessly shredding ever since.
