About this Event
If you're a writer navigating the often arduous experience of publishing, this event is for you. The DC Writers' Salon A&A Q&A (agent & author question & answer) series provides writers with opportunities to hear from experienced folks on different facets of the publishing world.
For our November event, we're featuring self-help author and NPR journalist Meghan Keane on Thursday, November 7th.
Keane's debut book “Party of One: Be Your Own Best Life Partner” is the “self-help book she wished she’d had from the start.” It’s full of stories, reporting and researched tips to help anyone — regardless of relationship status — feel comfortable with their own company. Meghan is the founder and managing producer for NPR's Life Kit, a podcast and radio show that brings listeners advice about personal finances, health, parenting, relationships and more.
We'll start with snacks and refreshments, our guest speaker will give a 30 minute talk, then we'll follow that with a Q&A discussion and mingling.

Based in Dupont, the DC Writers' Salon is a studio and community for writers. The Salon helps us make space and time for what we love to do: write. But more than that, it invites us to engage with the otherwise solo, and sometimes grueling, process of writing in a way that's more connected and accountable. Learn more at DCWritersSalon.com.
