Plague Pits is a Swiss band known for their minimal synth, post-punk, and cold wave sound with EBM influences. They have been active since the fall of 2021 and have been influenced by bands like CABARET VOLTAIRE, PSYCHE, THE NORMAL, FRONT 242, OPPENHEIMER ANALYSIS, and THE HUMAN LEAGUE. The band's DIY character and sound are central to their identity, and they have been fans of Stock, Aitken & Waterman, producers of notable bands such as DEAD OR ALIVE, BANANARAMA, Rick Astley, Debbie Harry, and Malcolm McLaren. Plague Pits is part of the Young and Cold Label family and has released a new EP titled "the light" and a compilation album "punishment & exstinction" on vinyl. They are also set to perform at various festivals in 2025, including Greenfield Festival, Hellfest, and Rock am Ring.
