About this Event
Join us for a workshop reading of In Her Nature, a new play:
Frequently reduced to a footnote, Vita Sackville-West filled her life with frenzy, fantasy, and flowers. And yet, did she ever find the freedom she hoped for?
Born and raised the only child to a tumultuous aristocratic family, Vita found her escape in the greats of literature, full of romance, adventure, and grandeur. As she grew, Vita not only began to write these plots herself but also longed to live them, not just with men but with women too.
Always wanting something wild and thrilling but needing something safe where she feels seen, Vita struggles to ever say if it’s enough, whether with Rosamund or Violet or Harold or Virginia. In wanting the unconditional will she lose the very love and life she strives to find?
