About this Event
Summary: Together with Ainaz Azarhoush—an Iranian actress known for Fish and Cat, The Paternal House, and The Pig—we have curated four Iranian short films for this event.
Location: ANTiPODE Art Gallery 103 S. Main Street, Seattle
Vibe: Let’s get together at 6pm, drink some wine, and watch some movies. We hope to create a community around films and animations. Please stay for a friendly discussion about the movies and the movie night concept.
About Films:
- Overflow by Nahal Dashti–A dreamer girl envisions herself as the mature mediator in her parents' conflicts. Her attempt to create harmony takes a dark turn, leading to an irreparable crime.
- Almost Intangible by Taraneh Esmailian–In an audition, a husband and wife are asked to improvise. In this role-playing, a discovery occurs that makes their relationship something it never was.
- Alicia’s cave by Hossein Hejrati–Despite her boyfriend's intrusion, Alishia decided to be on her own for a night. Her boyfriend flies a drone near her place to figure out the so-called "truth" by peeping through her window.
- Don Quixote by Rahil Fallahfar–A poetic exploration of a simple and profound question: When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?
