About this Event
An invitation to slow down and settle into the gentle, meditative rhythm of stitching.
Through simple guided prompts, we’ll explore freeform hand stitching, working intuitively with colour, texture, and fabric. There’s no fixed outcome; instead, you’ll be encouraged to follow your instincts, responding to the materials in front of you and letting your piece evolve naturally.
We’ll experiment with fabric collage, layering, and composition, noticing how materials interact and begin to speak to both each other and to us as makers, letting the work unfold as a dialogue between maker and material.
This workshop provides a chance to step away from perfection and into creative flow. It’s open to everyone, whether you’re completely new to stitching or already have experience. This is a space for play, curiosity, and reconnecting with your creativity in a supportive, relaxed environment.
All materials are provided, plus herbal tea and biccies - just bring yourself and some creative curiosity!
Please do book early where possible!
Booking early helps independent facilitators like me to organise events in a cost and energy-efficient manner, which gives us more time and headspace to make the workshops fantastic for you.
