About this Event
Discover the unique beauty of Tunisian crochet in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. Often described as a blend of knitting and traditional crochet, Tunisian crochet uses an extended hook to create richly textured, woven-like fabrics that are both versatile and visually striking.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the foundational techniques that define Tunisian crochet, including how to cast on, work forward and return passes and maintain consistent tension. We’ll explore essential stitches such as the Tunisian Simple Stitch plus how to change colours in your work giving you the skills to create a variety of patterns and textures.
Participants will also gain insight into choosing the right tools and yarns, troubleshooting common issues like curling, and reading basic Tunisian crochet patterns. By the end of the session, you’ll have completed a small project—such as a sampler swatch or coaster—and feel confident continuing your Tunisian crochet journey.
Whether you’re a curious beginner or an experienced crafter looking to expand your skills, this workshop offers a welcoming space to learn, experiment, and create.
All supplies included.
