About this Event
The Introduction to Psychological First Aid training is a set of techniques grounded in humanitarian principles that provides practical assistance to distressed children or adults through assessing for safety, active listening, promoting social supports and coping, and linking to appropriate services. A highly engaging and interactive course with built-in practice.

Trainer: Sarah Reed, Training Coordinator, Children's Advocacy Center
Sarah has a background in mental health and trauma therapy. She has been working at the Children's Advocacy Center for the past three years, teaching trauma-informed care and other related topics to professionals around the state of Arizona. This Psychological First Aid training came from her time working for UNICEF with newly arrived asylum-seekers.
This training will take place from 11:30AM-1:30PM - Mountain Standard Time (Phoenix)
