About this Event
Delve into three dimensional creations with these fun and exploratory sculpture workshops with Chicago artist and curator Helen Dannelly! Learn basic structural techniques for creating small three-dimensional forms and utilizing encaustic (beeswax with resin) medium. We will discuss line, mass, volume, surface, scale, display options, relief versus
free-standing sculpture, and hanging devices. Materials used will include wire and wire mesh, plaster gauze and more!

WHAT TO BRING:
Apron, smock or workshirt, long sleeves recommended.
Leather or canvas gloves
Needle nose pliers if you have them.
Scissors
You will create 2 – 3 small sculptures that you can paint with either acrylic or encaustic wax medium.
