No machine needed - just a needle, thread, fabric and your imagination.
Create. Stitch. Appliqué. Make it yours!
- 25cm (or 1 fat 1/8th) of neutral 100% quilting cotton for the background (small print or tone-on-tone is fine; calico is also suitable, pre-washed)
- 100% cotton fabric scraps
- Fusible web (Heat and Bond Lite or Vleisofix)
- Paper scissors and sharp fabric scissors
- Stranded cotton (any colour)
- Embroidery hand sewing needles
- A correct sized thimble for your dominant hand middle finger
- Pencil
- A couple of sheets of photocopy paper
- Notebook and pen for notes
Optional: A kit with background fabric, fabric scraps and one skein of stranded cotton is available from the tutor for $7 cash on the day.
