Curious about sublimation printing and how artists create vibrant, permanent designs on everyday items? In this beginner-friendly workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of sublimation while creating their own custom pieces to take home.
During class, each participant will:• Design original artwork on paper (no drawing experience required)• Learn how artwork is scanned and prepared for printing• Explore the basics of sublimation printing and heat pressing• Press their designs onto two ceramic coasters
We’ll cover essential techniques including color considerations, mirror imaging, proper pressing methods, and tips for achieving crisp, professional results.
By the end of the class, students will leave with:• 2 finished coasters• A foundational understanding of sublimation printing• Inspiration to continue exploring this creative process
