About this Event
HistoryFest, Our Homespun Conference, is an annual gathering of local history enthusiasts of all ages, including local historians, students, public history professionals, genealogists, preservationists, academics, and others with a deep love and interest in the Pioneer Valley - Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, and Counties.
There is no specific theme, but presentations reflect the history of the Pioneer Valley, Massachusetts or general topics relevant to museums and hostorical societies today.
New to HistoryFest? Attend a Zoom information session to learn more about the format of the conference and, for those interested, being a presenter. Presenter Requests will be accepted through March 6, 2026. All are encouraged to present including students, amateur researches, history buffs, academics, educators and all others that share a love and commitment to public history in the Pioneer Valley.
The cost is low in order to include as many people as possible in our mission to promote and provide effective communication and collaboration among the historical societies, sites, and museums of the Pioneer Valley.
