This course offers an inspiring introduction to abstract painting using primarily acrylic paints. Students will explore color mixing, layering, texture, composition, and mark-making while learning how to work intuitively and expressively. Through guided exercises and demonstrations, participants will experiment with a variety of tools and techniques to develop confidence, creativity, and a personal visual language. Emphasis is placed on process, exploration, and creative freedom rather than representation. This course is ideal for both beginners and experienced artists seeking to loosen up, discover new approaches, and expand their painting practice in a supportive and dynamic environment.All supplies are included. Students are also welcome to bring their own preferred tools for painting and mark-making.
