About this Event
The International Public Speaking Competition IPSC is the largest public speaking competition in the world, organised by the English-Speaking Union, a global educational charity with branches in over 50 countries. The ESU is dedicated to helping young people develop essential communication skills including public speaking, listening, debating and constructive dialogue, while fostering confidence, cross-cultural understanding and international friendships.
Now in its 46th year, the IPSC engages over 100,000 young people across more than 40 countries. The international finals week in London brings together national champions aged 16 to 20 for a unique experience that combines competition with cultural exchange.
Grand Final: Friday, 17 July 2026 at the Royal Institution
In the grand final, finalists deliver a new five-minute prepared speech on a set theme, followed by audience questions. This event celebrates the very best young speakers from around the world.
