Bio:
Saffron is a band collective led by singer-actress Sarah Hamaty and composer-arranger Fernanda Douglas. Their joyful collaboration started 6 years ago with wild covers of iconic songs by Lady Gaga, Chaka Khan, Chappell Roan and Paramore, then evolved into fiery original songs. Past venues include Shrine Harlem, Silvana, and So Far Sounds. Through live instruments, live singing, improvisational and experiential music, they hope their musical vibration inspires us all into social and individual harmony. Featuring Peter Douskalis (guitar), Shelby Blezinger-McCay (drums) and Sarah Overton (cello).
