Theatrical pop for those who never quite belonged.
Rubén Sánchez is a Spanish–Dutch singer and performer based in Amsterdam, creating theatrical pop shaped by electronic, Latin, and R&B influences. After working in European musical theatre, including West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof, he turned inward to tell his own story.
Never fully fitting into one country, one system, or one role, Rubén transformed displacement into fuel. Drawing from theatre, voice, and movement, he creates shape-shifting performances where music, movement, and storytelling unfold in close, immersive settings..
Inspired by Stromae and Lady Gaga his work is made for outsiders, misfits, and anyone who refuses to be just one thing.
