Innovation in Assisting Childbirth

We invite you to join us for a panel discussion marking the introduction of an innovative new alternative for assisting childbirth in the UK: the OdonAssist™.

Innovation in labour and birth has historically been limited. In recent years, an international collaboration of clinicians, midwives, engineers, industry partners and women have worked to develop OdonAssist, an inflatable device designed to assist vaginal birth. The UK has been instrumental to this development effort.

Attendees will hear directly from independent voices: obstetricians, midwives, and mothers who recently gave birth, about their experiences with OdonAssist. OdonAssist is supplied by Maternal Newborn Health Innovations, a Public Benefit Corporation focused on improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes.

Following the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to see the device and participate in hands-on demonstrations.
