Ahmed Maher is internationally recognized as a world-class oud virtuoso and composer. His upcoming album Maktoub explores his Egyptian roots through compositions inspired by Arabic maqam traditions while embracing his Canadian home through a dynamic dialogue with jazz and improvisation.
This special concert celebrates the release of Ahmed Maher’s debut album Maktoub, performed with an ensemble of leading Vancouver musicians.
