About this Event
Industry Open Day 2026
Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Innovation for Sustainable Composites Engineering
The CDT in Innovation for Sustainable Composites Engineering (ISCE) is committed to developing the next generation of leaders in the composites industry, equipping talented individuals with the advanced skills and knowledge needed to drive a more sustainable future. We have built a network of companies that share this vision and recognise the transformative potential of composites engineering.
Over the next three years, the CDT will provide leveraged funding to support innovative projects drawing on expertise in materials, automation, digital transformation, manufacturing technologies, experimental mechanics and structural design.
This in-person event, hosted at the University of Bristol, offers current and prospective industrial partners the opportunity to learn how the CDT works with industry to support innovative research in sustainable composites. Attendees will explore sponsorship opportunities, engage with current partners and the academic team, and contribute to shaping project proposals for the 2027 cohort of doctoral students. As part of the programme, we encourage attendees to take part in a series of two-minute lightning talks — an opportunity to introduce a research challenge, spark discussions and connect with others who share similar research interests.
