About this Event

Jefferson’s Industrial Design Summer Academy is an immersive two-day experience that guides high school students interested in industrial design through the design process, from understanding product needs, through concept development, to fabrication. Participants will collaborate with our experienced faculty to work on a real-world problem.

The Academy is held in the well-equipped Industrial Design studios on the East Falls campus, providing students with access to industry-standard spaces, shops, and prototyping equipment, with easy car access for drop-off and pick-up. Each day features project discussions, critiques, presentations by industry professionals and skills labs. The academy concludes with a reception open to family and friends, where the projects will be showcased.
