Keynote 1: Evolving Delivery to Improve Productivity
Host: Derek Sinnott
Info: What Happens Between the Lines: How Leading Firms Are Evolving Delivery to Improve Productivity and Outcomes.
Derek Sinnott works closely with CEOs and senior leaders across the built environment, construction, and infrastructure sectorsโindividuals navigating complex, high-pressure environments where the demand to deliver more is constant and margins are increasingly tight.
Derek understands that the real challenge is rarely the project itself. Instead, it often lies in organizational design, leadership mindsets, and decision-making processes. Derek focuses his efforts there, partnering one-to-one with leaders and their teams to create the space needed to step back, think clearly, and address the issues that are hardest to see from the inside.
Through a blend of executive coaching and strategic advisory, Derek helps leaders see their systems more clearly and address the root causes limiting their performance

Please select one of the five available workshops when purchasing your ticket.
๐: 12:45 PM - 02:00 PM
Workshop 1: Low Carbon Concrete and Cement
Info: A draft position paper will be briefly presented for discussion on the current challenges and opportunities facing the development and deployment of low carbon concrete technologies in Ireland. The workshop will discuss the key interests across this topic in the short, medium and long term. Discussions should also aim to identify fundable R&D project concept(s) and viable funding routes to be further explored. Enterprise Ireland will attend to outline the current applicable funding landscape and activity from a European (Horizon Europe) perspective.
๐: 12:45 PM - 02:00 PM
Workshop 2: Discovering Digital tools for improved productivity
Info: This workshop will bring together digital tool developers and construction end-users to explore how software can genuinely improve productivity across the project lifecycle. Discussions will focus on real pain points, barriers to adoption, and opportunities for collaborative demonstration projects that validate digital tools in live industry settings. Potential funding pathways to support these demonstrations will also be explored.
๐: 12:45 PM - 02:00 PM
Workshop 3: Closing the Building Energy Performance Gap
Info: Closing the Performance Gap: Using Data to Understand How Our Buildings Really Perform: Research monitoring energy and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) performance across individual units, developments, and national datasets has revealed a significant gap between design predictions and operational reality. This workshop will explore how monitoring, measurement, and data analytics at unit, development, and national scales can be further developed and scaled. The aim is to identify innovation opportunities and project concepts that help close the performance gap and inform future policy, design practice, and funding priorities.
๐: 12:45 PM - 02:00 PM
Workshop 4: Innovation in MMC - what opportunities can now be explored?
Info: Following a brief overview of the current status of the considerable volume of ongoing MMC project work funded by Construct Innovate, the workshop aims to identify what opportunities exist for follow-on work or new areas of innovation yet to be meaningfully explored (eg: robotics, automation, MMC in infrastructure applications, MMC digital support tool development, etc).
๐: 12:45 PM - 02:00 PM
Workshop 5: Testing of Innovations - what's needed now and in the future?
Info: Testing is a fundamental part of innovation in devlopment of products and materials - what are the needs regarding our current national testing infrastructure to satify current and future demand?
A brief outline of some current and upcoming offerings of testing infrastructrue to industry will be followed by a discussion on what is still required. Collaborative opportunities for applications to upcoming infrastructure funding calls to be identied for further exploration (Eg: Enterprise Ireland Capital Equipment Call 2026, INSPIRE Research Infrastructure Investment Call 2026)
