In Their Absence
is a multi-disciplinary art show, including screenings by Julie-Yara Atz of 'What If We Were Happy?' and a special preview of 'On Dreams, the Surreal and the Liberation of Syria (and Homs)' , as well as an experimental art installation by Alaa Shasheet exploring absence and living on the edge of visibility and perception, aiming to give the visitors a feeling of daily challenges some other people face.
Visitor Information: To reflect the themes of the work, the exhibition space will be intentionally dark. Visitors will be invited to explore the installation using flashlights to reveal the art by themselves. Please be prepared for a low-light environment.
Opening Night Saturday, 9th May
We invite you to join us for an evening of art and conversation:
17:00: Doors open for the first look at the on-site installation.
18:00: Film screening by Julie-Yara Atz.
19:00: Artist talk. A deeper dive into the process and themes of the collaboration.
