About this Event
Event Description
Join us for an intimate songwriters-in-the-round evening featuring artists from across Canada and across the pond. Caelin Rivers, Avery Jane, Merv ** Gotti, and Olea Wisteria come together to share songs, stories, and laughs shaped by their different corners of the world.
Olea Wisteria is a Canadian singer, producer, and songwriter who takes an alternative approach to digital recording, sound design, and extended vocal technique. A classically trained musician with studies in opera, composition, electronics, and new music, her work blends R&B and art-pop influences drawn from artists like Björk, FKA twigs, James Blake, and Frank Ocean. Known for her immersive performances and DIY ethos, Olea has appeared at festivals across Canada and continues to release striking, self-directed music that pushes the boundaries of contemporary songwriting.
Merv ** Gotti is an award-winning Asian Canadian singer-songwriter best known for his dream-folk project Guitar Songs. After performing at SXSW back-to-back years in 2024 and 2025, he released his debut studio album Guitar Songs: A Thesis on Low Efficiency Emotional Excavation. The album’s first single, “Jiujitsu,” was named one of CBC’s Top 100 Canadian Songs of 2024 and received airplay across more than 20 CBC stations. Merv has toured extensively in Canada and abroad, performing at festivals including SXSW, Reeperbahn, M for Montréal, and Mariposa Folk Festival, and sharing stages with artists such as Chantal Kreviazuk, Great Lake Swimmers, and Aysanabee.
Montreal-based Avery Jane crafts genre-blending songs rooted in jazz, folk, pop, and R&B. Known for her clever, relatable lyrics and warm delivery, she has released two EPs (Honey Lemon Ginger and Hey You) and continues to hone her voice as a thoughtful, community-driven songwriter.
Caelin Rivers writes in the stillness between seasons. Now living in France, she finds comfort in the ghosts that guide her every move. Her music lives in that same space - haunted yet hopeful, dissonant yet full of warmth. With over 4 million Spotify streams, Rivers was selected for the 2024 TD Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship and is currently working on a new EP set for release in 2026.
Come experience a night of shared songs, stories, and community - up close and in the round.
