A collection of one hundred easy and delicious recipes for scones, muffins, cookies, and more—including the top secret recipe for the famous scones that earned her the title the “Scone Queen”— from baker extraordinaire and founder of The Hungry Gnome, Danielle Sepsy.
When Danielle Sepsy started baking scones for friends one day she would have her own successful whole-sale and online bakery, The Hungry Gnome—or that her scones would be sold in hundreds of coffee shops all over the tristate area and celebrated on a hit television show.
Here, in her first cookbook, The Scone Queen Bakes, Sepsy gives us over 100 recipes for scones, muffins, cookies, bars, breads, snacking cakes and other sweet treats.
Danielle Sepsy is the founder and chef behind The Hungry Gnome, the popular and innovative online and wholesale bakery based in New York City. At the young age of thirteen, she started a home business selling her scones to friends, neighbors, and local cafes, and most recently, she appeared on Dan Levy’s The Big Brunch, where she was crowned the “Scone Queen” by devoted fans and the judges themselves, who raved about hers being “the BEST scones in the universe.” She has also appeared in cooking segments on nationally syndicated television programs, including the Today Show, Good Morning America, and The Drew Barrymore Show. She has also performed live and on-demand cooking demonstrations on Food Network Kitchen, Pix11 and Good Day New York. She was the recipient of the Women-Owned Small Business Owner of the Year Award for New York State from the Small Business Administration and is currently an Oxo Chef in Residence.
