Nutrition Based Management of Metabolic Health in the GLP-1 Therapy Era
About this Event

GLP-1 Therapies have transformed the clinical management of obesity and related metabolic disease, and this has resulted in new clinical concerns such as gastrointestinal side-effects, obesity-associated nutritional insufficiencies, poor long-term adherence and limited real-world efficacy.

Practical, evidence-based strategies supporting the weight loss journey, from before starting a GLP-1 therapy, during the weight loss and weight maintenance phases, and in case of discontinuation, are needed for health professionals practicing nutrition and lifestyle medicine.

This important event brings together leading researchers and clinicians working in this area to provide insights that inform clinical practice. Topics feature the first international consensus recommendations developed to support the GLP-1 therapy weight loss journey and the related topics of ultra processed food addiction, personalised nutrition including continuous blood glucose monitoring, and the role of nutritional therapy.

All attendees receive:

  • 4-hours of CPD approved education
  • Lecture notes
  • Supplementary research papers
  • Clinical tool and resources
  • Lunch and refreshments
  • Free sample products
