WEEK 1 - 14/1/26 - The Pillars of Improvisation
Host: Harry Kershaw

🕑: 06:00 PM - 09:00 PM
WEEK 2 -21/1/26 - Exploration of 'the scene'
Host: Harry Kershaw

Info: First building blocks of scene work; learning about the circle of expectation and building scenes by engaging with your scene partner. We aim to remove the need to “generate” anything and encourage playful team work. Making clear, simple offers is always the way to go.

🕑: 10:00 AM - 01:00 PM
WEEK 3 - 28/1/26 - Mining the offer
Host: Harry Kershaw

Info: Mining the offer; using the work from week two we learn how to build on the first offer that is made and not feel the need to keep generating content.

🕑: 06:00 PM - 09:00 PM
WEEK 4 - 4/2/26 - Emotional Commitment
Host: Harry Kewshaw

Info: Emotional commitment and emotional change; all good stories come from an emotional connection with the characters. This week will teach the value of emotional connections within scenes and stories, it will also show how comedy can easily be built out of emotional commitment.

🕑: 10:00 AM - 01:00 PM
WEEK 5 - 11/2/26- Opening Scenes
Host: Harry Kershaw

Info: Continue to build on the themes from the first four weeks. Using exercises that will encourage the practice of: listen, accept, commit, emotional change, mining the offer and making clear simple choices. We will also introduce basic story structure and improvise “opening scenes”.

🕑: 10:00 AM - 01:00 PM
WEEK 6 -18/2/26 - Building a story
Host: Harry Kershaw

Info: Playing the scene and building the story. At this point we will aim to start building the opening 15/20 mins of a longer story using everything we have learnt so far. This will likely be guided by the instructor.
