About this Event
We live in a fast-paced world: scrolling, consuming, multitasking, producing, competing, achieving, and being entertained. Success, novelty, conveniences, hobbies, and relationships (friendships, family, and romantic bonds) can bring genuine moments of happiness. Yet, even these joyful moments pass swiftly or slowly. And when the challenges of life shake us, we notice that comforts (material and relational), however supportive, are only part of what truly nourishes the human heart.
From time to time, a quiet inner voice begins to whisper:
- Why, despite having more and doing more, do I still feel that something is missing?
- Who am I—beyond roles, expectations, and accomplishments?
- How can I meet life's challenges with inner clarity, strength, and serenity?
- In an uncertain and ever-changing world, is lasting happiness and purpose possible?
- How can I grow in awareness of myself and others, and help build a better, more conscious world?
If such questions stir your heart, this interactive Applied Philosophy workshop is for you! Through a thought-provoking talk and engaging discussions, you will gain insights and practical tools to live more consciously, joyfully, and meaningfully.
Discover the transformative power of ancient wisdom—not as distant theories, but as a living and practical guide to understanding and navigating the deeper mystery of Life in all its dimensions.
We begin with the most timeless step on this path: Know Thyself — Who am I? What is the Human Being?
Across cultures and centuries, this inward journey has long been seen as the key to inner strength, deeper connection with oneself, others and Life.
No prior experience with philosophy is needed, because within each of us resides a seeker—a philosopher. We can all learn to awaken our capacity to reflect on profound questions and transform insight into action, obstacles into growth, and our hidden potential into reality!
At the close of the workshop, we will also share details about the Spring session of our unique 12-week Applied Philosophy course, beginning Wednesday, March 18. Learn more: www.know-yourself.ca/course
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet fellow seekers of wisdom and take this step inward. We can all become conscious sculptors of our own lives, and active participants in helping others and shaping a wiser and more conscious world.
