For English Speakers
Dates: Friday 24th & Saturday 25th January 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Studio KUTE, Upper Floor, Ziegrastraße 13, 12057 Berlin
This weekend workshop invites you into improvisation as a practice of presence, authenticity, and connection — not performance for performance’s sake, but truthful responding in the moment.
Designed for both actors and non-actors, the workshop creates a safe, consent-based space where creativity can emerge without pressure, judgment, or the need to “be good.” The work is rooted in conscious acting practices that center participants’ consent and wellbeing, while also drawing on techniques that guide spontaneity to arise in a way that feels real, embodied, and alive.
Through a carefully held blend of impulse-based acting, Meisner work, forum theatre, and guided improvisation, we will explore how to listen deeply, respond honestly, and stay connected to ourselves and others — even in moments of uncertainty.
Rather than pushing for results, the focus is on trusting impulses, softening control, and allowing behavior to emerge organically. Choice, boundaries, and self-awareness are actively honored throughout the process, making this a space where risk feels possible because safety is present.
Across the two days, participants will work with:
Improvisation rooted in listening and authentic reaction
Responding to text, movement, gestures, objects, and imagined circumstances
Staying present under uncertainty without forcing ideas
Letting go of overthinking while remaining grounded and embodied
What You’ll Gain:
A deeper connection to your instincts and impulses
Tools to access spontaneity without self-pressure
Greater ease, confidence, and presence in the moment
Practical techniques for listening, responding, and staying embodied
An experience of improvisation that honors consent, boundaries, and wellbeing
A playful, collaborative space to experiment and explore
Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a creative from another field, or completely new to improvisation, this weekend offers a grounded and human approach to creativity — from the inside out.
Limited spaces available.
Early registration recommended.
