This two hour workshop will teach you the building blocks of improv in a fun and supportive environment. The skills learned in our classes go beyond the stage and can benefit you in your everyday life and work! Fortune 500 companies are now routinely bringing in improv workshops to help build up their team members and their leaders. These are just a few of the concepts we will touch on in this workshop through a series of fun exercises and games. ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Keane Cobb (he/him) is an actor, improviser, stand-up comedian, and writer from Philly. Keane has hosted at the Albany Funny Bone, Helium and Punchline Comedy Clubs. Keane has been improvising regularly since 2015 and and can be seen on improv stages around the city. Keane performs regularly with the Crossroads Comedy Theater show Study Hall: Comedy Inspired By Lectures, Not Yet Rated: An Improvised Movie, and as a co-host on the the podcasts In My Opinion: The Good Fight Podcast and Lockin' Up: A Black Pro-Wrestling Podcast. Keane is also a member of the all POC comedy troupe NYTEShift, the comedic trio known as Black History Monthly, ComedySportz Philly, as well as a co-host of the podcast Alt-Black.

PAYMENT PLANS: Interested in splitting your enrollment into smaller payments? We got your back! Crossroads Comedy Theater is happy to offer payment plans that allow you to play now and pay later by breaking up your enrollment into four, interest free payments over six weeks.
PUBLIC HEALTH POLICIES: Masks will be optional during this course. Though Crossroads no longer requires proof of vaccination enroll in our courses or attend our shows, we highly encourage all students and audience members to be up to date on vaccinations. Students should stay home if they are ill the day of class. Any student that tests positive for COVID-19 agrees to inform the theater so we can alert other students. These guidelines can updated based on the advice of City of Philadelphia, the CDC, or other public health experts.

CODE OF CONDUCT: It boils down to this: Treat people with respect. We do not tolerate hateful, discriminatory, or disruptive behavior. Behavior that is racist, misogynist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, ageist, or any other unacceptable behavior not here mentioned will result in removal from the class. We strive to be inclusive of all experiences. We are always learning and aim to keep the class safe and respectful for everyone. The use of recreational drugs, illegal drugs, and/or alcohol is not permitted during class. The use of substances in class or the impact of prior usage exhibited in disruptive ways in class may result in your removal from class.
REFUND POLICY: All Crossroads Comedy Theater class sales are final. Please carefully consider your schedule and travel before enrolling. In some cases students may defer their enrollment to one of the following two class sessions. Deferment after the start of the course is not permitted. Do you have a particular set of skills? Skills you acquired over a long career? Skills that make you super helpful to what we do at Crossroads? Crossroads is always looking for helping hands to make our shows, classes, and other community events happen. Our volunteers earn $15 credit with the theater good for upcoming shows or courses. Duties could include box office, ushering, snack bar or more. If you have any skills that you feel we could benefit from, let us know!
