IMP on Stage brings improv theater to Luckan Helsinki, in many forms! Comedic improvised sketches, music and lyrics made up on the spot, open improv jams where everyone can try and long form stories that start from an audience suggestion. All of this and more, performed by creative improvisers from Helsinki. See a different show every month, with guest improv groups joining our resident performing group Honeymoo_ and IMP Studentteatern students.
What is improv theater? Improv actors create a living performance live on stage, where individual scenes and characters connect through story, theme, direction, energy and more. These connections are discovered by the performers while playing, as nothing is prepared beforehand. The scenes you will see on stage are often surprising, weird and touching. Some performers add elements of music and dance, while others use stories from their personal experiences as inspiration.
After the show we stay around to share snacks and get to know each other.
Some free snacks and drinks are provided, you're welcome to share your own.
