About this Event
In this workshop, ikebana is approached not as a technique, but as a way of relating to nature through attention, presence, and restraint.
Rather than focusing on fixed rules, you will be guided to explore a more intuitive approach where a composition emerges through observation and sensitivity.
So we can pay attention to something quieter: line, movement, tension, breath.
We will work with seasonal materials, simple elements, nothing excessive. Inspired by the spirit of chabana, the arrangements will be natural, ephemeral.
Tea accompanies the experience as a grounding element, moving as a thread throughout the workshop in three moments –
to arrive and settle,
to deepen attention,
and to integrate what has been experienced.
No experience needed, only a willingness to create & be present.
All materials & tea are included, and you will take your composition home.
🌿 Your hosts
Natalie, is the founder of Flowers and Moods, a Berlin-based floral design studio tooted in the Japanese art of Ikebana. She creates sculptural floral compositions and spatial concepts for brands and events. With a background in art direction and visual storytelling, she approaches floral design as a form of creative direction — shaping atmosphere, rhythm, and visual identity through natural materials. In her workshops she encourages a slower gaze, a mindful hand, and the discovery of beauty in simplicity and impermanence.
Teeraum Sanvian is a space for tea and connection in Berlin. Through carefully held tea experiences, concerts and community events, we create moments that invite connection, reflection, creativity, joy and a deeper sense of being.
