About this Event

We are privileged to be welcoming Miss Victoria Rose, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at St Thomas’ Hospital & King's College Hospital, London, to reflect on her experiences working with International Disaster and Emergency Aid with Long Term Support (IDEALS) to provide essential reconstructive surgery to the victims of the war in Gaza at the European Gaza Hospital and the Nasser Hospital, Khan Younis, Southern Gaza.

Victoria will be joined by Charlie Allanson-Oddy, Psychological Therapist with NHS Lothian who has many years of experience working in specialist psychological trauma services. Charlie is also an active member of Health Workers for Palestine.

Learn more about IDEALS

International Disaster and Emergency Aid with Long Term Support (IDEALS) was established to help relieve poverty, distress and suffering in any part of the world affected by conflict and/or natural disaster. Since 2000 they have worked extensively in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and, more recently, Palestinian and the Lebanon, with the aim of providing humanitarian aid on a sustainable basis, forging links between emergency relief and long-term development.

Visit the IDEALS website for further information including how to support their vital work: www.ideals.org.uk
