About this Event
We are thrilled to welcome artist, broadcaster and writer Miriam Elia to The Bloomsbury Jamboree for a talk, a book signing and more than a few laughs. It is the 10 year anniversary of Miriam's Dung Beetle series, which have sold an amazing 250,000 copies.
Miriam will be signing copies of her latest title I-SAW AN ART FAIR – a micky-take of art fairs and modern art in general, seen through the lens of a 1950’s ‘tick the box’ children's book.
It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey and Miriam will be reflecting on when she was sued by Penguin, and the time Marina Abramovic personally asked her to write a surrealist comedy about her. Then too, how she became an artist and what makes her laugh.
