About this Event

Human Resources & the Education Industry is an introductory workshop on how to merge business concepts and Human Resources (HR) skills most effectively in the field of education - without ignoring the unique challenges that come with identifying and retaining the best talent for the job.


Our workshop offers an overview of traditional and non-traditional human resources theories and concepts with an extra special focus on how to implement or identify them in the education industry. This workshop is for (1)those who work in education, but not in HR and would like to learn more, (2) individuals who work in HR, but not the field of education, and 3) for Districts, Schools and Educational Organizations looking to build structures, systems, and supports for your human resources department. Participants will benefit from this workshop and others.


We support professionals and teams with (a) identifying relevant strategies to enhance your work, (b) providing space to build organizational action plans, (c) enhancing your training and talent development forums and techniques within your HR department (relating to the topics above) and more.


What To Expect:

The workshop includes strategies used by Human Resources teams from the past and present, including examples from the corporate and public sector. The session also includes a mix of media clips, theories, articles, best practices, cases, exercises.


Fee: $125 online or onsite (this includes professional development materials and light refreshments. Those who sign-up for an online session receive a $10 gift certificate to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. In person sessions provide participants with coffee and light refreshments)
