Have you ever wanted to explore dreamscapes? To create fantastical worlds? To make the impossible possible? With art you can! The surrealist art movement is a great inspiration for making your art more imaginative.
In this workshop, you will be introduced to the basic ingredients needed to make imaginative art, and then generate ideas and sketches of our own. Along the way we will learn a little bit about the historical surrealist art movement and some of the drawing strategies that artists have used to achieve the “realism” in surrealism.
Bring whatever drawing or sketching materials they enjoy working with and are comfortable using. Minimum supplies students should bring are a sketchbook, pencil, eraser, and your imagination!
