About this Event
Abi Roberts, comedian, writer and commentator reads chapters from her book Hot Banana in conversation with Jonny Woodrow and the audience.
The evening is filled with laughs, songs, poignant reflections and free speech.
The first half sees Abi reading chapters (called ‘tracks’) selected at random by the audience. Abi often bursts into song and riffs off the chapter.
The second half is a discussion with Abi, hosted by Dr Jonny Woodrow (a writer, podcaster and theologian), which includes audience participation and a Q & A on the themes from the first half.
The audience experience a mixture of great story telling, stand up comedy, and sharp, thought provoking, political and cultural commentary.
It is very much a free speech event designed to get conversations going.
Abi will also be selling and signing copies of her book Hot Banana.
