About this Event
Please note the slightly earlier start time of this workshop.
In this session with Brian Egles, participants will work in pairs to program a small LEGO Mars rover. Paricipants will begin by programming their robots to move around the environment and behaviour autonomously, detecting and avoiding obstacles, using sensors.
Once participants are confident with the basics, they will tackle a series of hands-on challenges inspired by real-life scenarios, including life aboard the International Space Station and robotic exploration of Mars. These challenges are drawn from the UK and international 'First LEGO League' challenge, run annually by the IET and other global partners.
This workshop is strictly for 12 - 14 year-olds. This is a full day workshop so please ensure participants bring lunch and a drink.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
