This was so much fun last year we are doing it again. We skate through bar, restaurant & shopping parts of town wearing battery-operated holiday lights. Please note: it’s November, this skate depends on the weather. Watch this space for possible re-scheduling.Join Windy City Skaters for a fun recreational 12–14 mile urban street skate. Helmet & Waiver required. We stop at red lights, keep to a bike lane or one car lane, and don’t block cars. Intermediate skate skills needed. You should be able to stop, turn, and skate over or around road hazards such as cracks, potholes, rocks, sticks, curbs, railroad tracks, hills, etc. It is not a race. We stop and regroup a lot. We don’t leave anyone behind. We usually stop for water halfway.
